Each relevant design feature is examined with ideas to maximize plan value, from the eligibility period to the investment policy, which we prepare and update when necessary.

 

 

 

404(a) / 404(c) Guidance

With recent legislation such as EGTRRA and Sarbanes-Oxley, the complexity of 401(k) plans has never been greater. Saunders Financial's on-staff compliance personnel and pension plan professionals help protect plan fiduciaries and executives from financial loss due to Department of Labor and IRS penalties, as well as ERISA and employee civil litigation.

 

 

 

Provider Benchmarking

We regularly perform benchmarking reports for all of our plan sponsors. Saunders Financial recommends this fiduciary exercise to all its clients at least every 18 months to two years. In the event your current provider is not suitable, replacing them can be time consuming. Saunders Financial will perform the search for a new provider by managing the process from the initial proposal requests (RFP) to the final analysis, recommendation and even conversion management assistance. Depending on the plan sponsor’s goals, objectives, demographics and philosophy, we will match clients with the provider who delivers the highest possible quality products and services at the most competitive total plan cost.

 

 

 

Employee Communications

To have a successful retirement plan, you must have thorough and intensive ongoing employee communications. Through Saunders Financial's state of the art communication services, inclusive of regular on site meetings, webinars and podcast, you will enhance participation, satisfaction and understanding of asset allocation and risk tolerance. This also helps plan sponsors meet 404(c) requirements to provide adequate education about investing in the company sponsored 401(k) plan. As a valued added service, our firm will meet with each individual participant to help them choose the best investment option available to them based on the employees age and risk tolerance.
